Adding a client takes about a minute. You'll enter their basic details, optionally capture intake information, and (if you like) assign their first assessments in the same flow — your client is automatically emailed everything they need.
Before you start
All you need is your client's name and email address. Use the email address your client actually uses — it's where their assessment invitations will be sent, and it's how their assessment results get connected back to your workspace.
Each email address can only belong to one client in your workspace. If you enter one that's already in use, you'll see "A client with this email already exists." — and if that client is archived, "A client with this email already exists but is archived. Unarchive them to reactivate this client."
Step 1 — Client information
Go to Clients in the sidebar.
Click + Add client (top right).
Fill in your client's First name, Last name, and Email address.
Optionally add Tag(s) to group and organize your clients (for example "Executive", "Career change", "Q3 cohort"). Type to search existing tags or create a new one.
Click Continue.
Step 2 — Intake details (optional)
Capture anything useful for your coaching relationship — you can always fill this in later from the client's profile:
Goal(s) and Primary challenge
Industry, Years of experience, Career stage
Referral source
Additional notes
Click Next (or skip straight through — everything here is optional).
Step 3 — Assign assessments (optional)
Select any assessments you'd like your client to start with:
A few things to know:
Your client is never charged for assessments you assign.
Hold results. Switch this on if you want to decide when your client sees their results, for example so you can go through them together in a session. When they finish, they'll see that you're managing access to their results, with a button to email you. See Tracking your clients' progress to release them.
The moment you click Assign and add client, your client automatically receives an email with access to their assessments and step-by-step instructions. See What your client receives.
Not ready to assign anything? Leave everything unselected and click Skip and add client — you can assign assessments anytime from the client's profile.
Has your client already taken the Values Bridge? Don't assign it again — leave this step empty, finish adding them, and then request access to their existing result from their profile. See Add a client who has already taken the Values Bridge.
Your new client now appears in your client list with an Active status.
