Many clients arrive having already completed the Values Bridge on their own — through a workshop, a book, or Suzy's course. You don't need to assign it again (or pay for it again). Add them as a client, then request access to the result they already have. Your client approves the request with one click, and their report appears in your workspace.
The whole thing takes about two minutes on your side and about thirty seconds on theirs.
How it works, in one paragraph
You add the client with the same email address they used for the Values Bridge, skip the assessment step, and click Request access on their profile. We email your client a link. They sign in, see exactly which report you're asking for, and click Allow access. From then on, the report shows up in their profile with a View link — and your client is never charged, and neither are you.
Step 1 — Add the client (without assigning anything)
Go to Clients in the sidebar and click + New.
Enter your client's First name, Last name, and Email address.
Click Continue, then fill in or skip the optional intake details and click Next.
On the Assign assessments step, leave everything unselected and click Complete.
Use the email address they took the Values Bridge with. The request is matched to your client's Becoming You account by email — if it doesn't match, they won't be able to approve it. If you're not sure which address they used, ask them before you add them.
Assigning the Values Bridge in step 4 would send your client a brand-new assessment (and bill your account for it). Since they've already taken it, skip this step — you'll request their existing result instead.
Your client now appears in your client list. Nothing has been sent to them yet. (Adding a whole group? See Adding several existing clients at once below.)
Step 2 — Request access to their existing result
From the Clients list, click your new client to open their profile.
On the Assessments tab you'll see "You haven't assigned any assessments yet." Click Request access.
Confirm the name and email in the Request existing result window, then click Send request.
Already assigned this client something else? The button moves into the Assign Assessment dropdown (top right) as Request existing results.
You'll see: "Request received. If a matching account and completed result are available, they will receive an email."
For your client's privacy, this confirmation is the same whether or not the email matches an account with a completed Values Bridge — so if nothing arrives on their end, double-check the email address first (see Troubleshooting below).
The button on the profile now reads Access requested while you wait.
Step 3 — Your client approves (what they see)
It helps to know what's landing in your client's inbox so you can give them a heads-up. Here's their side of it:
1. The email. They receive a message titled "[Your name] requested access to one Values Bridge result." It explains exactly what you'll be able to see — and what you won't — with a Review request button. The link is good for 30 days; ignoring it shares nothing.
2. Sign in. Clicking Review request takes them to Becoming You. If they're not signed in, they'll be asked to — using the same email address the request went to. Then they click Review request once more to open it.
3. Allow access. They see who is asking, which report it is, and the date they completed it. Clicking Allow access finishes the process. (They can also Decline, or switch accounts with Use another account if they signed in with the wrong email.)
Step 4 — View their results
Once your client allows access, open their profile. The Values Bridge now appears on the Assessments tab with the status Completed, marked Previously taken, and the date they originally finished it. Click View in the Results column to open their report.
That's it — you can work from their existing results just as you would from an assessment you assigned.
What your client is (and isn't) sharing
Clients tend to say yes quickly once they understand the scope, so it's worth being able to explain it:
Shared: one completed Values Bridge report — the same results your client sees.
Not shared: their individual answers, billing details, notes, any other assessments, or future results.
Revocable: your client can withdraw access at any time from Coach Access in their Becoming You account settings. If they do, the report disappears from their profile and the button reads Access revoked.
Good to know
It's free. Requesting an existing result isn't an assignment, so nothing is billed to your account and nothing is charged to your client.
Values Bridge only, for now. Requesting existing results currently works for the Values Bridge. Other assessments will follow as they launch.
One request at a time. While a request is pending, the button shows Access requested. If it's declined, expires, or is revoked, you'll see Request access again and can send a fresh one.
Archived clients can't be requested. Unarchive the client first.
We don't email you when they approve. Check the client's profile — the View link appears as soon as access is granted.
Troubleshooting
My client never got the email.
The request is only delivered if the email address matches a Becoming You account that has a completed Values Bridge. Ask your client which email they used, then edit the client's email on their profile (pencil icon next to Client details) and click Request access again. My client sees "Use the account that received this request."
They're signed in to Becoming You with a different email than the one you added. They can click Use another account and sign in with the address the request went to — or, if they'd rather use the account they're already in, update their email on your side and send a new request. My client sees "Request unavailable."
The link has expired (30 days), was already used, or the request was declined or cancelled. Send a new one from their profile. The button says "Result access unavailable."
Something on our end couldn't be verified. Refresh the page, and if it persists, contact [email protected].My client took the Values Bridge but wants a fresh start.
Assign it as a new assessment instead — see Assigning assessments. Their previous results stay in their own account untouched.
